von Ferrari sind immer schon beim Thema Design grandiose
Meisterleistungen. Doch einige gehen weit darüber hinaus, wie bei diesem
Modell. So wundert es nicht weiter, dass eine der begehrtesten
Auszeichnungen für Automobildesign im Rahmen der Mailänder Designwoche
im ADI Design Museum Flavio Manzoni übergeben wurde. In der Kategorie
„Serienmodelle“.

Auch wer nicht genau hinschaut sieht, dass hier Ferrari-Designchef
Flavio Manzoni erneut ein Geniestreich gelungen ist. Sicher findet ihn
nicht jeder schön, denn Geschmack ist natürlich immer eine ganz
persönliche Sache.
Doch in der Summe ist der 12Cilindri ganz klar
sichtbar ein einzigartiges Objekt der Begierde, erzeugt durch seinen
optischen Auftritt der Extraklasse. In dem ein Teil der Historie aus
Maranello gut verpackt in die Zukunft zurück gebracht wird.
Das fängt bei der zurückhaltend dramatischen Front an (erinnert an die frühen Versionen des
365 GTB/4 – auch Daytona genannt –, ein Meilenstein bei den Supercars mit Frontmotor), führt zu den skulpturalen
Bögen über den Radläufen, erstaunlich klaren, horizontal
verlaufenden Linien bis zum Heck, das jedem mehr als eindeutig zeigt, wer da vor einem fährt.
Auch dieser Anblick ist für jeden anderen unterwegs ein klarer Hinweis „denk nicht mal dran ...“!
Genau
darum: 830 PS und 678 Nm bringt der über 4,7 Meter lange Sportwagen
blitzschnell über ein Achtgang-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe auf die
Hinterräder.
- Bis 100 braucht er 2,9 Sekunden
- bis 200 sind es 7,9 Sekunden
- bei 340 km/h geht ihm die Puste aus, wenn alles so bleibt wie es ist ....
Die Preise sind ebenso heiß:
- 382.000 Euro kostet das Coupé
- die offene Version beginnt ab 421.000 Euro
Car Design Award
Er wurde 1984 von Fulvio Cinti (Gründer und Chefredakteur von Auto&Design) ins Leben gerufen, prämiert
seitdem Projekte, die maßgeblich zur Entwicklung des Automobildesigns
beigetragen haben. Also herausragende Leistungen im Design.
Die Gewinner des Car Design Awards
werden seitdem Jahr für Jahr von einer Expertenjury ausgewählt, die aus
Vertretern bedeutender internationaler Automobilpublikationen besteht.
Mit
dem Ferrari 12Cilindri triumphiert in diesem Jahr schon zum fünften Mal
ein Modell der Cavallino Rampante aus Maranello in der Kategorie
„Serienfahrzeuge“.
Los ging es 1985 mit dem Testarossa, ihm folgte 2020 der Roma, 2022 der 296 GTB und 2023 der Purosangue.
Einen weiteren Preis gab es am 28. April in Berlin.
Dort erhielten Ferrari 12Cilindri und 12Cilindri Spider den begehrten iF Design Award vom iF International Forum Design. Das wurde bereits im Jahr 1953 gegründet.

Beside
the Car Design Award 2025 (established in 1984, aimed at projects that
have significantly contributed to the evolution of automotive design),
the Ferrari 12Cilindri and 12Cilindri Spider are the only cars to have received one of the 75 prestigious Gold Awards at the 2025 iF Design Awards. The judges highlighted the "ingenious use of graphic elements that wrap the 3D surfaces" of the cars, as well as their "form that is both exciting and reassuring."
Ferrari also collected an iF Design Award for the F80. These awards
further underscore the relentless pursuit of the Ferrari Design Centre,
led by Flavio Manzoni, to find cutting-edge design solutions that
enhance the Prancing Horse’s models without ever compromising the
absolute synergy between functionality and aesthetics.
The award ceremony for the 2025 edition of the iF Design Award, one
of the most coveted design recognitions worldwide, was held april 28th in
Berlin.
Founded in 1953 by iF International Forum Design GmbH, the
competition sees judges assessing over 10,500 products and projects from
around 70 nations.
The international judging panel praised the design, commenting "Ferrari
is the quintessence of luxury. Ferraris have always represented the
maximum expression of the automobile, and the 12Cilindri is no
exception. This design hints at 1950s and ‘60s Ferraris yet is
undeniably modern, from its cutting-edge aerodynamics to its ingenious
use of graphical elements that wrap its 3D surfaces. Once again, Ferrari
has magically succeeded in creating a form that is both thrilling and
reassuring."

The 12Cilindri is inspired by the Ferrari Grand Tourers of
the ‘50s and ‘60s and fully embodies the mission of the front-engine V12
two-seater Ferrari with a blend of elegance, versatility, and
performance.
It represents the latest evolution of this lineage, passing
on a unique heritage and elevating it to new standards of performance,
comfort, and design. The shapes express sportiness, class, and sobriety:
simple and harmonious lines integrate innovations such as integrated
active aerodynamics to ensure unparalleled performance, the front-hinged
clamshell bonnet that enhances the engine compartment, and classic
design cues, like the twin pair of exhaust pipes typical of 12-cylinders made by Ferrari in Maranello.
