Weitgereisten fällt zu den berühmten Wasserfällen in Sambesi, Afrika sicher das Victoria Falls Hotel ein, doch inzwischen hat Matesi dem legendären Haus den Rang des Platzhirschen abgenommen. Nicht ohne Grund, denn das Angebot dort ist in jeder Hinsicht grandios.

In der stilvoll eingerichteten Lodge haben alle 19 Suiten und Villen (4 Schlafzimmer) einen direkten Blick auf den Sambesi Fluß.

Gegessen wird im Schatten riesiger Bäume oder mit vol fleißigen Händen gepacktem Picknickkorb auf Tagestouren in die grandiose Natur rundherum, Wildbeobachtungen inklusive.
Zu sehen sind Büffelherden, Elefanten, Löwen und allerlei für uns aus Europa unbekannte Vögel.


Wer will, schaut sich das wilde Afrika an Bord des hauseigenen Fliegers an. Großartig! Die dort gewonnenen Eindrücke bleiben unvergesslich.


Die Anreise
Vom Victoria Falls International Airport​ dauert die Fahrt per Auto rund 55 Minuten. Insgesamt sind es 60 Kilometer.
Mit dem Heli sind es 15 Minuten, wir raten allerdings zur ebenfalls angebotenen längeren Heli-Tour, die dauert 35 Minuten und bietet fantastische Blicke auf die Region.
