Aguttes versteigert an diesem Wochenende viele Klassiker, auch ein wunderschöner Dino 246 GT ist dabei
Der Ferrari Dino hat
schon lange seinen Makel abgeschüttelt, kein echtes Modell aus Maranello zu sein.
Im Gegensatz zu noch vor 20 Jahren ist der Mittelmotor-Zweisitzer mit V6 und zeitlosem Design Handlings heute heißbegehrt. Vor allem dann, wenn er so original ist wie der jetzt von
Aguttes in einer Auktion am 21. Juni in Paris angebotene 246 GT.
Der erste Dino hatte die Modellbezeichnung 206 GT, er wurde in den Jahren 1967 bis 1969 gebaut. Abgelöst wurde er 1969 vom 246 GT, dem ersten Ferrari mit Mittelmotor.
Neben diesen beiden gab es mit dem 208 GT/4 und dem 308 GT/4 noch Varianten mit Achtzylindermotoren, die wurden von 1974 bis 1980 gebaut.

Als Erinnerung an Enzos Sohn
Die Untermarke Dino wurde als Erinnerung an Alfredo Ferrari aufgelegt, den früh verstorbenen Sohn von
Enzo Ferrari. Der wurde in der Familie auch 'Dino' genannt.
Die puristischen Linien und ausgewogenen Proportionen stammen aus der italienischen Designschmiede Pininfarina, genauer gesagt von Aldo Bravarone.
Das
Ferrari-Cavallino-Emblem auf der Fronthaube gab es hier allerdings nicht.
Erstmals in der Geschichte von Ferrari rollte der Dino mit einem mittig eingebautem Motor aus dem Werk. Und statt dem typischen V12 gab es hier einen halb so großen V6.
Das im 246 GT eingebaute 2,4 Liter große Aggregat (kommt übrigens von Fiat) speisen drei Weber-Vergaser, die Leistung liegt bei 195 PS.
Kombiniert mit einem Fünfgang-Schaltgetriebe samt offener
Schaltkulisse und knapp über einer Tonne Trockengewicht, war der Wagen richtig agil unterwegs.
Seine Premiere hatte der Dino 246 GT auf dem Genfer Autosalon 1969 als Nachfolger des Dino 206 GT, bis 1974 wurde er nicht ganz 2.500 Mal gebaut.
Nun taucht ein besonders schönes Exemplar aus dem Jahr 1972 in der Originalfarbe bei Aguttes in einer Auktion in Paris an diesem Wochenende (am Sonntag) auf.
Der geschätzte Verkaufspreis des hier gezeigten Fahrzeugs liegt bei 280.000 bis 380.000 Euro.

Unveiled in 1969 as a replacement for the Dino 206 GT, the Ferrari Dino 246 GT remains one of the most iconic cars ever produced at Maranello. With fewer than 2,500 units produced between 1969 and 1974.
Conceived as a tribute to Alfredo ‘Dino’ Ferrari, the son of Enzo Ferrari who died prematurely, it heralded a new era for the manufacturer with the introduction of a mid-rear-mounted V6 engine.
Designed by Pininfarina, the Dino immediately captivated with the purity of its lines, the balance of its proportions and its unanimously acclaimed handling.
Its 2.4-litre V6, fed by three Weber carburettors and paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, delivers a sound and driving pleasure that have become legendary.
The car on offer, chassis no. 05236, was delivered new on 29 November 1972 by Charles Pozzi, Ferrari’s official importer in France, to its first owner via the New-York Garage in Cannes.
It was first registered on 18 December 1972 in the name of Lucien Nicolet, an architect in Cannes, and has had only two owners since then, a rarity for this model.
It still retains its superb original Rosso Dino 20-R-350 paintwork, undoubtedly one of the most iconic colours in the range.

The bodywork is in its original condition and appears to have received only a light coat of old paint. However, there is some corrosion on the sills.
The interior retains its main original features, notably the upholstery, carpets, dashboard and headlining, offering an atmosphere and patina that are impossible to recreate.
Even more remarkable, this Dino comes with all its original delivery documents: service booklet, owner’s manuals, warranty certificate and its original Ferrari leather folder.

This documentation allows its history to be traced with precision and lends the car a credibility and heritage value particularly sought after by collectors.
In 2013, it underwent a major mechanical overhaul carried out by the specialist Technic Modern Auto in Nice.
Including the complete removal of the engine, the dismantling and inspection of the mechanical components, the reconditioning of the cylinder heads, and the replacement of numerous internal components, at a total cost exceeding €20,000.
More recently, between 2023 and 2024, further significant work was carried out, focusing in particular on the running gear, shock absorbers, braking system, steering, ignition, carburettors and various mechanical components.
Due to its inactivity in recent years, some costs will be incurred before it can be driven again.
It also represents an excellent restoration project for enthusiasts seeking an exceptional Dino.
For nearly fifteen years, the Ferrari Dino 246 GT has established itself as one of the most solid investments in the classic car market.
