Seit der Gründung von Orient Express im Jahr 1883 geht das französische Unternehmen nach Zügen und Luxushotels erstmals auch auf das Wasser. Bietet dort maritimen Luxus auf einem bislang noch nicht bekannten Level.

Die in der Werft Chantiers de l’Atlantique in vierjähriger Arbeit gebaute Segelyacht (15.000 BRZ) mit drei Masten ist 220 Meter lang und 35 Meter breit.
Die Entstehungskosten werden auf etwa 500 Millionen Euro geschätzt.
Der Heimathafen ist St. Tropez.
Hinter dem Projekt stehen drei ambitionierte Aktionäre:
- die französische Hotelgruppe Accor
- der französische Luxusgigant LVMH
- der Investor Millennium (Schweiz)
Drei riesige Segel mit jeweils über 1.500 Quadratmeter Fläche machen die Yacht bis zu 12 Knoten schnell.
Hinter dem Projekt stehen drei ambitionierte Aktionäre:

Gästebereich
Insgesamt 54 geräumige Suiten warten hier auf verwöhnte Passagiere.Unterschiedlich groß bieten sie von 45 bis 231 Quadratmeter Wohnfläche.
Agatha Christie
Zweitgrößte Suite ist neben der Zephyr Suite (231 m², Terrasse mit 112 m²) die Penthouse Suite Agatha Christie (225 m², 180 m² Terrassse mit Jacuzzi) voll mit raffiniertem Luxus.
Sie verwöhnt mit zwei Schlafzimmern, großem Marmorbad, literarischen
Kunstwerken und atemberaubender Sicht auf das Meer.
Die maximal 120 Passagiere versorgt eine 170 Personen umfassende Crew.
Für die maßgeschneiderte Innenausstattung wurde B&B Italia ausgewählt, deren Designer die legendäre Welt vom Orient Express mit viele Liebe zum Detail in einem maritimen Umfeld in Szene gesetzt haben.
Zu den Einrichtungen gehört unter anderem neben 13 Restaurants (auch mit Sternen von Yannick Alléno) plus Lounge-Bars, groß dimensioniertem Spa von Guerlain, Friseur-Salon und Fitnesscenter auch ein Tonstudio. Das soll Musiker mit etlichen Millionen auf dem Konto anlocken.
Wenn die ungestört an Bord neue Hits zusammen mit der Familie und Freunden aufnehmen wollen, können sie die Yacht komplett buchen.
So ein Vollcharter kostet allerdings bis zu 800.000 Euro am Tag.
Auch sonst liegen die Preise für ein derart außergewöhnliches Reiseerlebnis naturbedingt auf höchstem Niveau: zwischen 5.000 und 120.000 Euro am Tag sind je nach Kategorie und Reiselänge zu überweisen.

The Orient Express Corinthian is among the winners of the Le French Design FD100 People’s Choice Award, which recognizes the best interior architecture and design projects that promote French creativity worldwide.
