35m yacht DOM115: the entry level in Baglietto's successful DOM line of pencilled by designer Stefano Vafiadis.
The underlying concept of this project remains unchanged from other hulls in this range: just like the DOM133, the DOM115 retains the stylistic features that made the success of the top model in the line – timeless and yet modern, captivating lines that take to extremes the sporty character of her larger sistership; impressive volumes, rarely found in her class; and large, panoramic windows which let in plenty of natural light and open up onto beautiful terraces.
This model, in particular, takes the concept of one single, harmonious open space to the next level: the doors of the main deck salon can be opened completely and concealed to seamlessly connect the interiors and exteriors, and combined with the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, offer breathtaking views on the surrounding landscape. The upper deck, too, is entirely glazed and opens up on three sides.
Space has, therefore, been entirely rearranged, going beyond traditional, formal solutions and finding innovative ones, more consistent with the lifestyle of a contemporary owner who seeks the closest possible contact with nature and the sea.
As is the case on all latest-generation Baglietto vessels, the aft area is just perfect, developing over three levels that gradually descend towards the sea. Unlike on the DOM133, here on the DOM115 this space hosts an infinity pool with a sea view, while the tender is stored behind it, in a garage accessed from a side, thereby freeing up space on the deck.
The DOM115 maintains the high level of customisation that characterises the entire range, offering countless options and solutions for both layout and interiors. The latter are a natural extension of the exteriors, and the expansive windows mean they are visible even when spending time outside, creating a seamless effect. The Owner enjoys unparalleled freedom, although the shipyard is always ready to help them make the final decision by proposing possible adjustments or alternative solutions.
On this interior proposal by Stefano Vafiadis, the mood is warm and modern and the style sober, in a contemporary expression of timelessness. By drawing inspiration from great 20th-century architects, particularly those of Italian Rationalism, the designer has also aimed at capturing elements of Baglietto's history.
The sleek, pure lines further highlight the beauty and quality of the fine materials used on this vessel, and the neutral shades in the tones of beige, grey, and light blue reflect the most current fashion trends.
Luxury is never flashy, but informal and welcoming, and conquers guests through ease of use and comfort in day-to-day life. The designer has indeed sought to blend beauty with maximum functionality, avoiding extreme forms and focusing instead on fine-tuning functioning and ease of operation, so as to meet the need for practicality and convenience of owners who like to experience life at sea in its entirety, enjoying the easy luxury of their domus, their home.
This is why the 'architectural' and 'residential' style that lies at the heart of the whole DOM series reaches its maximum expression on this yacht. Striped and textured oak in different nuances, light-shade Carrara marble for the bathrooms, contrasting upholstered furniture and natural cashmere fabrics, untreated Tuscan leathers, and metal finishes – all contribute to creating a sense of refined elegance in this proposal.
