Der 4,46 Meter lange Wagen stand am Samstag auf der von RM Sotheby‘s durchgeführten „The Monaco Auction“. Erwartet wurden 400.000 bis 500.000 Euro, doch es kann bei so einer Rarität natürlich auch deutlich mehr werden.

Der 350 GT ist der erste von Lamborghini in Serie gebaute Sportwagen. In den Jahren 1964 bis 1967 rollten nur 120 Fahrzeuge aus das Werkshalle.
Die bei der Carrozzeria Touring gebaute und von Franco Scaglione designte Karosserie verfügt über zwei Sitzplätze, auf Kundenwunsch gab es im Fond einen zusätzlichen Notsitz.
Der 3,5 Liter große Zwölfzylinder-Motor hatte vier obenliegende Nockenwellen und leistete 280 PS. Die brachte er über ein manuelles Schaltgetriebe mit fünf Gängen an die Hinterräder.
Die Beschleunigung von 0 auf 100 dauerte für damals beeindruckende 6,4 Sekunden, sein Höchsttempo lag je nach Übersetzung bei 239 bis 260 km/h.
Damals sensationelle Fahrwerte und für Enzo Ferrari nur einige Kilometer entfernt ein Grund für jede Menge schlaflose Nächte.

Dieser hier gezeigte Wagen rollte als Nummer neun von Band, wurde im Werk von Edmondo Lamborghini abgeholt, dem Bruder vom Firmengründer Ferruccio Lamborghini.

While Ferruccio’s name would soon become synonymous with flamboyant supercars, Edmondo was widely regarded as a man of more understated taste.
He was a discreet gentleman, who played a meaningful supporting role as his elder brother established what would become one of the most famous supercar manufacturers that is today valued as a multi-billion-dollar operation.
Following its final factory test on 15 October 1964, the car was delivered the next day to Edmondo finished in Rosso Matador over Nero upholstery.
As the ninth production example built by Lamborghini, chassis number 0110 emerged during a formative period before certain components were fully standardised, offering a compelling glimpse into the developmental phase of the marque’s earliest road cars.
More recently, chassis 0110 benefited from a comprehensive restoration carried out by a consortium of respected Italian specialists, culminating in a refinish in Azzurro Acrilico Metallizzato.
The striking metallic turquoise blue was selected by the current owner to echo the original livery of the first 350 GT, chassis 0101. His sinuous, forward-looking lines were initially presented in this hue before being repainted by the factory in Verde Ginevra for the 1964 Geneva Motor Show.
A statement on file from renowned Lamborghini test driver Valentino Balboni verifies his involvement with the restoration.
In July 2021, the car was certified by Lamborghini Polo Storico as retaining its matching-numbers chassis, engine, and Touring Superleggera aluminium coachwork.
Presented at the 2023 Classic Club Italia concours in Stresa (in honour of Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary) the car was awarded:
- Best in Show
- 1st place in the Lamborghini Cup, “Orgoglio Italiano”.
In March 2026, the 350 GT was fitted with a set of four new Pirelli Cinturato tyres.
