Die Strecke der Dakar 2027 steht jetzt fest

Die 2027er Dakar Route führt in Form einer Schleife über 8.390 Kilometer im Uhrzeigersinn um die westliche und südliche Halbinsel von Saudi Arabien. Start und Ziel sind in King Abdullah Economic City am Roten Meer.

Von der Gesamtdistanz sind 5.320 Kilometer Wertungsetappen. So eine lange Strecke gab es in Saudi-Rekord zuvor noch nie. Der bislang höchste Wert (4.903 km) wurde im Jahr 2025 gefahren.

Die Route besteht aus 13 Etappen plus Prolog, einem Ruhetag in Bisha, einer Marathon-Refuge-Etappe und einer Marathon-Etappe in Al Bahah. 

Der Veranstalter ASO verspricht durchgängig drei Dinge für die Dakar 2027 Route:
- mehr Vielfalt
- mehr Sand als 2026
- mehr unbekanntes Terrain, speziell in den südlichen Regionen des Landes.

The Dakar 2027 route has been revealed! The route of Dakar 2027, which will take place from January 1 to 15, has been unveiled at the Institut du Monde Arabe by David Castera, in the presence of numerous drivers and co-drivers ready to take on the challenge. For its 49th edition, the 8th held in Saudi Arabia, the world’s most prestigious rally-raid will feature a varied route including three completely new stages, oriented toward the Red Sea, with both the start and finish in King Abdullah Economic City… and the highest total distance of special stages during the Saudi era (5,320 km), which began in 2020.
