New record for the thinnest flying tourbillon: The Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon platinum at just 1.85mm.
Measuring 40mm in diameter the case and integrated bracelet with satin-brushed and polished surfaces are now crafted entirely from this dense, noble metal. Compared to titanium, platinum brings weight but also manufacturing complexity.
Blue PVD accents appear on the skeletonised time display and mainplate, bringing contrast to the technical layout. The exposed ratchet wheel, in sandblasted steel with circular satin finish and geometric engraving, reinforces the mechanical aesthetic.
The hand-wound calibre BVF 900 is perating at 28,800vph with a 42-hour power reserve.
The movement relies on ball bearings and ultra-thin construction principles to minimise friction and height.
